Applications open for Commercial Space Rehabilitation Grant Program The City of Toronto’s Commercial Space Rehabilitation Grant Program is available to owners of vacant commercial properties or tenants of commercial properties at risk of being vacant. Grants cover 50 per cent of the costs of eligible interior improvements, up to a maximum of $20,000 (based on a minimum of $40,000 of improvements). A minimum of three eligible improvements must be made. Improvements already underway or completed are not eligible for the grant program. This program is funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. Applications are being accepted until February 28, 2023. Learn more and apply.
No-obligation support for Toronto businesses to reduce energy costs The City of Toronto’s Better Buildings Navigation & Support Services program helps building owners and operators of businesses reduce their energy use and costs. Experienced City staff can provide advice and help you apply for available incentives and financing options for energy retrofit projects. Technical staff can also help you explore solar panel installations at your building, conduct energy bills analysis, and set up emissions audits for your facility.
